'Hold' features a larger possum with a baby possum holding it's back and another small possum attached to flora beneath. Emanating from the realistically rendered is a stylised version of the trio made of colourful shapes. The stylised / abstract version represents the dynamic possibilities of living creatures indicating a perspective that like humans, animals have a rich inner world. The composition is organised in such a way that the abstract version of one baby possum embraces the realistically rendered version of its’ sibling: the physical world holding space for the intangible psychological or emotional world of another.
